Arthur Merino, a 41-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Sunday, June 28 in the 700 block of E. 80th Street in Florence, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 8 a.m., Merino and 23-year-old Mariano Flores were working on a vehicle in a driveway when a person walked up and opened fire, LAPD Det. Dave Garrido said.
Both men were struck and pronounced dead at the scene.
The gunman fled on foot.
