William Tyshoen Davis, 25

William Tyshoen Davis, a 25-year-old black man, died Monday, Oct., 19, after he was shot in the 2000 block of Magnolia Avenue in Long Beach, according to authorities. 

Long Beach police were at 12:35 a.m., regarding a shooting victim, according to a department news release. Davis was shot in the torso on a residential street, according to the news release.

Davis was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead later that day, according to Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman Marlene Arrona. 

Investigators don't have a motive for the shooting, but they believe it may be gang-related, Arrona said.
