A 20-year-old man was sentenced Monday, Sept. 9, to 10 years in prison for shooting his father during an argument at their Redondo Beach home last year, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.
Vincent Maxwell Finocchio pleaded no contest Aug. 20 to one count of voluntary manslaughter and admitted using a shotgun in the May 27, 2018, killing of his father, Frank David Finocchio Jr., 46, according to prosecutors.
Police previously told The Times that Frank Finocchio got into an argument with his son, who shot him before calling 911.
Prosecutors said the argument was about the son's girlfriend.
