Brian Coleman, a 46-year-old black man, was fatally shot Monday, April 2, in the 1400 block of West Florence Avenue in Harvard Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Coleman was discovered shot on the sidewalk about 2:05 a.m.
Authorities were called and the victim was taken by paramedics to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:29 a.m.
Coroner's records show Coleman died from several gunshot wounds to his body.
It's unclear what caused the shooting, Winter said.
